I started my career working as a system administrator for the IT Division of 3M Italy in 1997. After two years I moved into the networking and security field, and
joined the team involved in the e-Government project supported by Lombardy's regional
government (1999), working for the definition of architecture and standards for
the regional Extranet VPN network - a shared telecommunication infrastructure connecting
public administrations and healthcare organizations both to implement PAs Intranet
and Extranet as well as to promote the homogeneous development of e-Government services
(G2C and G2B) within the region.
In 2000, with the desire to focus definitively on security solutions, I became a
Security System Engineer of Uniautomation (an Italian system integrator/solution provider
founded in 1977). From July 2003 to March 2005 I have been the Systems Engineering Manager of
this same company, having the responsibility for the pre-sales team, and in 2005 I was appointed
the role of Information Security Competence Centre Manager, with the assigned goal to provide
sales forces assistance and actively controbuting in developing the company business in the
security market.
After a brief experience in Barclays Banck PLC, as an IT Services Delivery Manager, today I'm the
Security Manager of AR Enterprise, an outsourcing/service company working for financial institutions.
My strong passion for ICT security has always been the primary incentive in studying
and improving my knowledge, through intensive certification programs, both vendor-driven
and vendor-independent.
Besides Cisco Certified Security Professional(CCSP), GCFW, CISSP, and ISECOM-OPSA
certifications my last challenges have been the Master’s Degree of Information Security
(IQNet Information Security Manager qualification –
www.securman.it) which I successfully obtained in June
2006 after a one year course at the MIP Business School, and the CISA certification
(
www.isaca.org/cisa).
